She Knits...Really

I have had good intentions of knitting for my niece. My bum elbow really curtailed my knitting for several months. Finally, it is feeling better. I can even knit without my brace. Unfortunately, I could not just pick up where I left off on my original sweater. I found this pattern on Knitty. The modified sleeves were inspired by J and the fact that I did not have enough yarn for long sleeves. Also, I chose buttons over ties because I thought the ties might get pulled out of shape. We are watching Hillary tomorrow so I can slip it on her and see how it fits. Actually, I am just going to give it to her. It is, after all, almost a year late.

Now that I have my grove back I am just itching to knit for some more babies that have been born this past year.
