Joining the Helena Clan
Like many knitters, I like to have different projects for different things. My shawl was supposed to be for my trip, but I was not able to finish it and I made a boo-boo that needs to be figured out. Then, I began a sock to knit while I was in France. Only one sock was completed on the trip. Then I lost one of my favorite Crystal Palace Bamboo size 1 double point needles on the flight back. Piss. Little Helena was my project for the trip to the airport. Since I have been home this is what I have been working on. This is my third Helena. Miss Holly and I are trying to create an army of Helena wearing babies. Keep having those girls and we'll keep making them.
The yarn is Berroco's Comfort. Lovely yarn. The stitches just pop. Like the others I have made, I will use buttons instead of ties. This will also be long sleeved. Actually the peacock blue one was long sleeved, but was changed to a short sleeve to accommodated the little recipient.
